Default Bigger Vehicle, SUV Pajero sport/ Everest etc

So i'm looking at changing my current Audi A3 to something Bigger, as I cringe when I get to a gravel road.

Looking for something with enough space that will accommodate 4 guys with their golf bags, and be suited to host 6 adults at times, so therefor looking at getting with 7 seats.

Budget is no higher than R400k, but would prefer closer to R350k. Would like something with low kilos and still under plan so 2018 or newer.

So far I found some Everest (XLT only) and then came across the new shape Pajero sports. Don't see much on the forum on the new PS. Are they decent?

Guess I don't really need a 4x4 for say, but it will be nice to have.

I travel like 60km a day, so needs to be half decent on fuel. Was considering a Tiguan Allspace at first, but they are out of my budget, as i've only seen some trendlines, but those are not so nice.

Want to atleast retain some of the creature comforts I've gotten accustomed to in my Audi now.

EDITED To add, It Must be AUTO.

Uhm no thanks. Don't want to sound like a snob, but no way I'm moving from an Audi to that.

My brother in law had the previous shape scorpio and had endless ####, it drove like a tractor and build quality was poor. Way to agricultural for me.
The new one's might be better, but ja no thanks

I bought the MY17 Pajero Sport earlier this year in 4x4. Great car that does the daily commute to doing some seriously bad gravel roads and it has not set a foot wrong.

Preferred it over the mainstream cars because it is a little smaller and I find it easier to drive/park. Especially in the city.

Have also had 6 people plus hiking gear in it on 2 occasions now and cannot say that I found it to struggle at all. Had to do both the Franschoek pass and Elandskloof road, which is quite steep, this past weekend. The 8 speed autobox really makes a huge difference.

The 4x4 is just outside your price range though, but if that is not a huge factor, then you might want to consider the 4x2.

This has been my fuel consumption from the beginning. Also indicated when I run it in 2H or 4H.

Should add that about 80% of this is open road driving.
