The driftwood available along the river has become less and less every year, and I think the local communities really don't like these "tourists" burning away a weeks firewood every evening.

And the quality of it for a braai is really bad. It makes sense to take along wood for cooking

I will take the trailer with, but I will leave it at the Eiland. I presume we will stay for at least the first night at the Eiland.

We used to stand here for the first night. Next morning head into the river together. No stragglers.

A portable commode? May I suggest that it could be viewed, in some quarters, that the placement of such a commode in the back of a bakkie (belonging to someone else), could be considered bad form and downright unsportsmanlike.

There is some serious rain falling in the area, Letba is running full from side to side (some other rivers as well...) so it might just set us up for an interesting trip, and the river will def not look the same as last year.

Olifants also at full capacity and acording to my geography the Little Letaba is between the two so it must also be flowing.

Luvuvhu at Pafuri side to side...

Quite a number of other rivers also flowing strongly in the area.
