That is not worth it for Khama in my humble opinion.

Here is another spanner in the works for you Dirk. Never been, but I believe it is magic.

My initial booking was done through Bigfoot and I must say it was a very smooth proses, quick responses on my email enquiry, followed up with a call and was then updated via whatsapp. A pleasure to deal with them.
Yup, Khama's expensive (campsite review coming soon ) especially considering the facilities need TLC. We usually book directly with Khama and CKGR is a mix of DWNP and Bigfoot (DWNP is less fun to work with...)

I would also opt for the Stockport / Parrís Halt border crossing.

We have never found fuel at Rakops, but maybe just bad timing.

Khama is worth a stop for
The rhino sightings, but Iím my opinion you need a day, and therefore 2 nights there to take full advantage, and that gets very expensive. Late afternoon to early evening is the best time to sit at the waterholes where you will see plenty of rhino.

We usually fill up our water tanks at Matswere. The water is brackish but drinkable in our experience.
