Thumbs up KZN Midlands day trip

Hi all, I have been in discussion with Riaan regarding future outings, we thought it good to have a few regional gtg's to try and encourage more member participation and the combine for a KZN GTG. Our next day outing for KZN midlands will be on the same day as the north coast one on Sunday the 1st of March. we will be doing a day drive into the Inanda valley and have a nice relaxing braai for lunch. More details to follow soon.

Sounds awesome. I have seen a few YT vids on the area and they look absolutely stunning. Should be a great one.

Hi everyone, sorry for the delay on next weekends day trip into the Inanda valley, it is also the Duzi canoe marathon taking place from Friday to Saurday and the level of the Umgeni river is fairly high at the moment and might be even worse for vehicles then. We will therefor NOT contemplate any river crossings for the day.

If we have enough interested people to do the drive, we will meet at the Bothas Hill Spar at 08:00 for 08:30 departure, the entire trip will be onroad although we will have a few steep inclines and declines but nothing you have to engage 4x4 for. We will stop over for a lunchtime braai at Nagle dam and then depart for home afterwards.

Let me know who is interested to take part. the trip is about 100km in total from Queensburgh or PMB.

Where are you planning to braai at Nagle, on the SW bank at the dam wall or on the island by the tented camp?

I will join you for the braai.

We will braai at the canoe club, there are some nice big trees and good shade. People with Wild Cards, they are accepted at the gate. After some heavy rains in the area, the level of the river is quite high and spectacular.

I hope we get a good turnout for this event and start building the KZN membership again.

A nice quiet day out in the Inanda valley, fortunately not too many vehicles to cause long traffic jams with our convoy.just a few pics to show the people that couldn't make it, what they missed out on.
