    Default Mazda CX-5 New Battery

    Hi Guys

Need some advice on a new car battery for my cx-5. Current battery needs urgent replacing. It has a 80ah CCA 782 stop start battery.

Mazda has quoted me R2600 for a similar battery. Do you think it's excessive for the price tag or reasonable. Reason I want them to do it so I get the guarantee and warranty if anything goes balls on the electronics side.

Some other place quoted me R2500 for a fulmen brand with similar specs.

Should I stick with Mazda and let them do it or get it perhaps cheaper and driving around and replacing it myself.

    What's your thoughts on this

For a R100 I would let Mazda do it.

Just to add, I paid R1800 for a Corolla diesel battery. So R2600 is not too bad in my books.

Was think the same thing. Mine is a 2.2 Diesel Auto with all the bells and whistles which needs constant power and for the stop start function too
