I have never liked any of the Menlyn dealerships for any brand but I have had excellent service from Nissan Silverton which is just around the corner from Menlyn.

Bought a 2017 X-Trail Tenka from the Silverton branch which they had incorrectly registered as a 2016 model non-Tekna. They honored the deal and sold me the vehicle at the 2016 price and lost close to R100k on that sale. A month later I had issues with the brakes and I took it back to them and they replaced both front discs and pads for free.

Vehicle was unfortunately written off but for the price I got it at it was probably the best value for money vehicle I have owned. Thanks to their mistake I made a fat profit when the insurance paid out .

I took an Np300 for a testdrive from Menlyn(or Matus?) Nissan in December.

The vehicle impressed me for what it is, Got food service from Riana but decided not to gp ahwad with the purchase.

Should I reconsider, maybe I will drive past Menlyn to Silveton.

Vrydag een van my nissans laat diens.

My pa het so wit en blou V6 Sani D/Cab gehad, hy was groot Nissan man.

    Anyway - my opinie.

Hopenlik is dit n wake up call vir nissan SA.

hahaha. this post is ludicrous on so many grounds. also a useless post in relation to this thread.

Further to that, if " niks brek nie" why are their dedicated toyota parts stockists like N14x4 , Gemini etc , who have all made millions from constantly supplying parts to toyota owners.

Its the funniest thing hearing a toyota fan say they drive a Land cruiser for two reasons, "cause they unbreakable", and "you can get parts anywhere in Africa". hahahahaha.
the irony of that load of ##### i find extremely humorous.

Make no mistake, Toyota Dealership network, and its historic successes, was a result from massive marketing campaigns in the 1970's, 1980's and early 90's.... much the same as the campaigns Nissan launched in Australia, .... lots of money ploughed into marketing, the fruits of which have been picked in the late 90's and 200's, proven by cult followings of toyota in SA and Nissan In Aus, respectively.

In SA, the dealerships, regardless of manufacturer, have all rested on their laurels for far too long, toyota included, ... sales persons know nothing about their products, mostly because they've just recently spent the last 18 months working at a competitors dealership before job hopping, parts inventory stocks are pathetic, and there's no more bonafide mechanics, they simply part replacement jockeys.

All a bit Sad,... even if you own a "niks breek nie" toyota.

It's because their other car is a BMW and the indicator stalk is on the other side, so they get confused and just decide it's easier to not try because it's embarrassing when the wipers go when they want to turn.

    Sorry, I couldn't help myself...
(I was the proud owner of 4 BMWs, and each had their indicator used more than anything else in the car)

I've used Nissan Woodmead to get parts a few times (never bought a vehicle from them).
    Service has always been great.

Went there today and the security guard met me in the parking and offered to walk me to the correct department (Nissan and Renault are in the same building).
When I got to spares the guy was knowledgeable and efficient.
