No loss running 12V with short cables and more than 1 battery.

It is interesting that althought they state "solar inverter" they all show the connectings with an external controller. Here and there one will see an inverter with a charger which then becomes a UPS.

Yes the reason why I went the 12V version and rather use 2 x 102Ah batteries is I do like to help myself for instance cutting sq tubing to be able to transport and full sheets of wood cut in 3 pieces and then I would run it of the car battery while engine is idling. At idle speed a lot of alternators can produce 25A or more.

Another feature I have not seen before is the inverter goes through a start up sequence. The output starts at 72V and a second later it is around 140V and another second the voltage goes up to 224V on no load.

Thatís normally the inverter testing to see if there is a load connected.

Interesting thread - always impressed here with the knowledge of members. As it is my very old UPS for PC and 2 printers failed last week - probably needs new batteries. Would this inverter connected a decent 12v battery and CTEK intelligent charger be good as a substitute? The old UPS had a standard 3-point exit plug which was connected to a short lead and from there the ancillaries were also connected via standard 3-point plugs. Thank you very much !!

I dont understand this.? If you order t do you have to ask for a specific transport method or do you just pay. There was also some insurance option I did not understand. (tarrif)

    12V/24V to 220V/3000W is now U$119.99

Tariff insurance may be for exchange fluctuations?

I got the "expedited shipping" option automatically when using credit card. But only physical addresses apply.

Yes and no. If printers are laser then NO!!!.
As equipment would run from the batteries all the time you would need a big charger to supply the needed load plus still charge which does not make it practical if compared to a UPS. This would also need a biggish battery and may not be practical.

I ordered 2, just to see the difference between the (no tax) vs tax option...Not sure what they meant, (if they both arrive, I will be VERY surprised), you can take one from me at the price I bought it, USD 91, that was with shipping , the other option , free shipping (but I still paid shipping Insurance ), is only USD 81!.

They both arrive on 17 Feb....

Tax - they sort out the import duties when it lands
No tax - you get a mail with an outstanding amount that you need to settle before delivery can take place

The 3000w model comes with 16mm Very nice quality, the lugs are very neatly soldered.
I ended up going with 25 mm just because I had on-hand at the time.
