OK. No problem then. I thought it was an insecure connection even with the adapter.

Got my order today, took about two weeks to arrive.
Used the tax fee option R203 for delivery to my door.
Thanks for the heads up Ekkekan!

If that is/were the problem, then yes your suggestion is a good one.

I still have vision with some guy and a blowtorch in one hand and a Captain in the other.

My bottle neck seems to be PAXi couriers. It feels like it takes longer to transport the package from JHB to Uitenhage than it took from China to SA.
They will not let me pick it up at the PE depot. I must wait until the guy on the bicycle takes it to PEP in Uitenhage, which is closest to my place of work.

I ordered via expedited shipping, an additional R400 odd extra. Ordered 05/02, arrived 17/02 ... via DHL. So don't feel bad ... my 3 day shipping took 12

What more can one ask - free shipping - 8 days from the time it cleared the warehouse in CH until I received it.

I made this. I know it's not a UK converter plug, but it serves my purpose well because I can mount that on my battery box nicely. The 6A plug is fine; 220x6=1320W, which is enough for me. Anyway, why are those plugs rated 6A, and those measly 2-prong things rated at 16A?

    Hi

Can anyone tell me what size load I can run with this controller at 48V?
Is it worthwile to use this as part of a back up system with say 4 120ah batteries and 4 380W panels?
Can I say its a 3KW system based on the solar input figure of 3120W?

    Thanks!

Don't exceed 150v incoming from the panels - try to stick to a max of say 145v on a cold sunny day with cloud effect at play.
    On 48v: 3120w of panels

    So yes to 4 x 120ah batteries and 4 x 380W panels
Political Correctness is a doctrine, fostered by a delusional, illogical minority, and rabidly promoted by an unscrupulous mainstream media, which holds forth the proposition that it is entirely possible to pick up a turd by the clean end.
