Default Discovery 3 Dunlop Air shocks

    Hi there

My vehicle has 223 000km on the clock and still the original shocks..... are there any do's or don's when it comes to replacing the air shocks on these vehicles, I've been quoted to install Dunlop air shocks with come with a 6 month warranty... has any body had these fitted?

I want the smoothest ride possible!

    Thanks

Nothing wrong with the Dunlop ones. Have them in the front of my d3. All good

Edit they should have more than 6 months warranty

Do you want to change out as preventative maintenance?
    How much would that cost?

Nope I don't have budget for that kind of preventative maintenance... if the shocks are still good then ill keep, if not then ill replace... just wanted to see how good the dunlop shocks are.. people in general seem to be very happy with them, even on the other UK / USA forums.

they cost anywhere between R19 000 - R 26 000 to replace... depends on who you go to.... These are indy prices I've been quoted.

agreed, those prices sound a little out of the ordinary. Give dover parts or LP4A a call. Both courrier deliver nationwide

On the R21, just before ORT there's a bilboard for guys in Boksburg that supplies airsprings, can't recall their name but googled them in Novemeber and they supply Arnott, otherwise contact Gremeltech in CT, good good service from them in the past for Arnott units on the D2
