Default Pajero for all the wrong reasons

...So being a Landy fan..who was stung by Landrover...I think I made a mistake buying a lovely Pajero for all the wrong reasons.

She makes financial sense...is a good deal..has loads of potential..

The rumble of the V6 is great. The Super Select 4x4 works a treat and has impressed me..

BUT why does driving her feel like I am kissing my sister...like I sold my soul...like doing a SARS return and learning you have to pay in..

So much plastic and ...well old fashionedness.... and the drive...the drive...like a bus!

Lawd I miss that purr of the Td5..that sweet autobox..what have I done

I thought you would say you still put your hand up for all the Landy's but no one greets back - old habits don't die easily.
Strongs, hopefully the reliability of the Pajero will eventually prevail in your mind.

Nah. The Pajero is not like kissing your sister. It is rather like having that one best mate that you know you can phone in the middle of the night if you are stuck somewhere or need to get bailed out of a sticky situation and you just KNOW he will get out of bed and come to your aid, no questions asked, as you would do for him.

Just drive it. Like a good friendship is build up over many years, the Pajero will win you over in the end.

Go and get the excitement from the places that you visit with your Pajero.

As ek die finansies vir n pajero gehad het, het ek verseker een gery. Hulle ry so gemaklik. Tou soos n droom. Kan enige obstacle met gemak tackle

N lande is bietjie soos n dakota. Baie old school charm. Baie capable. Nie die gemaklikste ride ooit nie. So nou mis jy die stampe en stote, soos airplane noise (maw ek het langs n lughawe grootgeword en maande na ek getrek het daai geraas elke dag gemis)

Gee kans. Jy gaan leer om haar te love

You'll always miss a Landy. Hell, I missed my unreliable D3 TDV6 so much I went and bought another Landy, though a more sensible one. Still have a bit of a pang in my heart every time I see a working D3/4.

That they are. The one difference is a Landy will never roll over in bed one day and say it doesn't love you anymore, it will just take all your money, forever.
