    Default Sand driving

    Good day all

I'm going to Namibia in one month with my 2009 Isuzu kb300 d-teq 4x4. I would just want some advise on which tyres would be best for sand driving. Current tyres on the kb300 are GG AT3 245/75/R16 with less than 5000km on, the others I'm thinking about is a set of 31x10.5 R15 of GG X3 which is on my farming vehicle about 18 000km on them.

Which of these two tyres would be best for sand diving in Namibia, we are just going fishing. The X3's are excellent in mud and rocks on the farm has some chipping on them due to that but not much. Where as the AT3's are basically brand new. It seems as if the AT's would do better at deflating than the X3's. Any opinions and comments will help. Thanks

The GG AT's will be 100% fine. No need to change.

    Just deflate as necessary

The x3's will probably need to be deflated more due to their 3 ply sidewalls but they will have no worries in the sand.

Chose whatever ones you like the most.

I am preparing for some sand driving as well, it apears that the GG AT3's are quite well suited to the task, if you look at the tire thread currently running. I am considdering them for sand dune driving myself at this stage.
