Default most beautiful route from Rehoboth to camping Klein Aus

Would appriciate advice for our FEb trip starting at Wndhk
First night we shall stay at Lake Oanob resort ( just because it's nearby)
next stop will be Klein Aus for several nights from there we shall follow the D 707 and upnorth to Swakopmund

Question - what is the most beautiful route Rehoboth - Klein Aus ?
C21 / C14 is probably the easiest but not the most beautifull?
should we include camping at Nutupsdrift in our schedule?

    Tx

It depends on how much time you have between Rehoboth and Aus.

Here's my recommendation, you should be able to make it in a day if you leave not too late in the morning.

    - Take the C24 towards Buellsport
    - Right onto D1261 towards Nauchas (in my opinion the scenic route starts here!)
    - At Nauchas straight on towards the Remhoogte Pass - stunning!!
    - Take a left onto C14 towards Buellsport
    - a short while after Buellsport there is a D855 to the right which joins the D850 - BEAUTIFUL road!! but it'll take some time, slow going (50-60-ish km/h)
    - then you can choose to continue on the D891 (I don't know that one, should be just as nice)
    - The piece D826 via Duwisib Castle, Betta, Spes Bona and Helmering is also a treat! (seeing you are already planning the stunning D707 on your way back up)
    - The road C13 will then take you to Aus

The described route is about 600km (Oanob Dam to Aus), Tracks4Africa suggests a travel time of 8 hours.

Nutupsdrift sounds like a good stop-over. Furthermore both Duwisib and Betta have camping spots as well. Hope this helps!

    Have Fun!!

The route described above by Guido is beautiful, but I wouldn't try and do it in one day. If you are pushed for time, go straight to Klein Aus on the tar roads and save the scenic routes for the next leg - the D707 is stunning.

    WOW, sounds great!
and tx alot for the detailed info
Time is not an issue, it's the start of our trip and we intend to "go with the flow"
8 hrs is too much for us to drive will defenitely sleep somewhere in between for 1 or 2 nights.
    Have found your suggestions

    You're welcome!!

Additional camps inbetween i could recommend are Tsauchab River Camp or Hauchabfontein, they are close to Buellsport.

You could get on the D850 from Tsauchab River Camp, they are on that T-Junction.

If you feel more like lodging, the Neuras Winery (Naankuse Wildlife Estate) looks like a nice place to stay?

Yes, found it, very nice looking but maybe a bit to nearby our starting point Lake Oanob (1 hr 17 min, if we are very "fresh" we might even do it straight from our arrival at Windhoek))
But sometimes that is already enough for us. especially the first days we travel very slow to accomodate.
we love having breakfast / coffee / just enjoy being in Namibia again / check the car etc and might only depart around 11.00 hrs

    much appreciated!
