Stick with it. Weekly weigh ins are better. I tend to weigh myself every day, but then get disappointed when some days it's static or even goes up a bit. Better to see a 7 day average.

Over time I shifted so I weighed once a month and then once every 3 months or so if I remember. So over time it IF becomes self maintaining.

There is a guy who is on Cliffcentral on Wednesday mornings Gord Laws who has lost 60kg by this method without exercise and wants to drop another 40kg...he plans to publish write-up about his experience.
He was my motivation to give it a go.

30 minutes of some form of exercise every day, preferably cardio, will definitely not hurt your system as one cannot rely only on IF to reduce weight. You will lose muscle mass which will be more difficult to regain.

    Hand in hand they say.

IF does not cause a loss of muscle mass, lack of exercise do . Exercise is always important.

Muscle is very expensive for the body to produce. Fat is cheap to produce. Therefore, with no increase in exercise, the body will first burn fat before it starts to burn muscle when there is no fat left.

I lost 30 kg in 7 months using IF and a High Fat, Low Carb, No Sugar diet. I carried on losing after I reached goal weight and had to intervene by eating more carbs but still no sugar.

It's the Lean Meat, High Carb, High Sugar commercialised diet that causes weight gain and type 2 diabetes.

The good news is your body has plenty of fuel to eat when you cut the carbs and sugars.

Keep posting your results here - you will be stunned at how quickly it falls off.

Agreed, that is why I decided to post weekly results here, it gives rise to some form of accountability, provided of course, that you stay true to your undertaking.

Something you will note with IF, if you move up to OMAD you will be amazed at how much more time you have in a day to do other stuff. It is important to keep busy , dont be a couch potato, if you keep moving IF is easier.

Just remember that weight is not the only metric you are changing. You and Swambo have probably added a bit of lean muscle mass which means the scale hasn't changed that much for her.

Best of all you are improving your cardiovascular health. I know a good number of thin people who are far less healthy than some people who have a bit of padding around the middle.
