    Buy the heaviest one with the thickest wires.

    Depending on what you are doing with it, rather spring the extra dosh for the pure sine wave inverter. Modified, IE choppy square wave inverters are not ayoba.

    Agreed, you can do more damage to ancillary equipment when using a MSW, a PSW Inverter is the way to go.

    The inverter I just want to use in winter for elec blanket to warm bed.
    So do not need expensive one just one that will work.

    It seems like there are not many pure sine waves available below 600W. Victron, Meanwell and Cotek do make them.

    Yes. But considering that I will only be powering switched mode power supplies via this, the modified sine wave will be fine.

    As long as you don't get such an output as I got on a friends modified sine wave. This will not be good for a switched mode PS.

    Looks like we have been lucky so far - can't remember which ones we used in the last few years. I've been using an old 300W TES, which I bought at Makro nearly 20 years ago, and that doorstop was fine. I gave that one to one of our technicians a few years back and that is still being used. Anyone know which are the better ones?
