    Default Defender LS2

Wanted to get some knowledge from fellow LR owners

Anybody on here with a LS2 in a defender? reffering to the 6.0 liter V8

    Pros and cons?

Would you own one or want to?

There's one for sale at Auto Exellence Stellenbosch, the conversion was done by Burnco.

Drives very nicely, it has an R380 gearbox with Disco 2 gear lever.

It still has the Puma ECU, so everything works as original, the engine has its own ECU.

Orxy, how was the drive and fuel usage? Any negatives you could pick up? Isn't a d2 gear lever too short compared to the standard Puma lever?

Is burnco known for doing these rebuilds? Are they good at it?

If you are thinking about this also look at the LM7 5.4L as it a engine for low down torque came out the taho (Spelling) with 4L60e and LT230 1.22 ratio

Drove fine, like a normal Puma.

They mounted the gear levers a bit higher, so it doesn't sit too much lower than the normal Puma gear lever.

Well, if you are worrying about fuel consumption, then an LS2 is not for you

Must be a great combo giving best of both worlds, a defender that can go places a little faster?
