    Exclamation 2019 Jimny Sagging

I noticed my 2019 Jimny is sagging on the right hand side after only three month in my possesion, 20mm lower than the left.
I took it to the agents and after three months investigation the right front spring was determined to be the culprit, so both front springs were replace under warranty.
    Thank you Suzuki SA.
Now it's not even two month later and the same thing starting to occur, right hand side leans by 20mm compared to the left.
Back to the agents, now waiting on their reply.
Did anybody notice this happening on their New Jimny's. The same issue was spotted on the demo vehicle at the time on their showroom.
Measurements was taken from the bottom of the mag to the fender to prevent uneven tire pressures influencing the measurements.
Apparently the allowed tolerance between left and right is 13mm.
Turning to the left with weight distribution to the right in a corner you can feel the right front spring not holding up the car like usual.

I see a suspension upgrade in my near future...ÖÖ..
    Suzuki Jimny.

Same problem with my "coily" Samurai, maybe because battery, steering, fuel tank, driver, etc adds more weight to the right hand side? Only solution is to stretch right hand side coils or use coil spacers on that side.

    Yes, it does.
I am mostly the only person in the vehicle, probably explains it.
Had the same thing in my old Jimny, until I fitted the Des-Sol suspension upgrade.
Maybe the Japs on average weigh less than us ?

My stepfather just did work on his new Jimny's suspension as well. It was so soft its a joke and very unstable on corrugations. With new shocks a lot better now. Like you said, same with your previous Jimny, sounds like you will have to bite the bullet again and upgrade

There's an auto demo model available at the local dealer, and I've been thinking about it often.

Considering my weight and how expensive the little thing is, this is a deal breaker....

OEM needs to be soft for articulation. would hate to drive a jimny that flexes like a cruiser.

Maybe, I would go with definitely, I am pretty sure your avg Sumo wrestler does not fit in a Jimny so they are excluded.

I did not realize any sag in my standard suspension while I had it in , it did bottom out quite quickly though and I am not a small guy (120kg) and 1.95m tall. Must say the Tough Dog suspension improved the ride a lot and on corrugations its a totally different car. There is a reason why after market suspensions are so expensive because they really put in time on suspension development and you are getting something that has been designed to improve your car.

So I'm the same size with a 15-20Kg spare tyre on my waist, working against transport cost and having to pay VAT twice.......what would that cost me?

Disappointing, more & more I see a NP300 in my future

The full Tough Dog 40mm suspension cost me R20 000 excl installation , so just check with the Opposite Lock partners in Namibia (Think in Swakop) the owner Werner Schaap.

At best add 2000km transport to that price, at worst VAT for both countries.....and installation costs.

So.......a N$400 000 Jimny without trying very hard
