We are currently looking at 6 September. But if Alan wants to do the effort to join we can make it the 5th to acommodate them. We can do the trip that Bassfisher suggested, I havent been there yet. Then we can do some mild kuiers some other time.

We went to some york timbers sites few years ago and we are trying to get in contact with them. Christmas pools, klipkraal dam etc.

Please indicate who will be able / interrested to attend the 5/6 September weekend.

Best bet for Alan would be to look at lekkerslaap or the likes to find acommodation. There is a nice place close to me and another close to Bassfisher but they are quite pricey.

If you do the suggested route, then this lookout point at least requires some 4x4 traction

Let's see what date is settled on. I'm hosting a 4x4 group on the mountain for the long-weekend in Sept.

LandyLove, I have some takers for the 5th of September. One oak from Malelane and 3 (including me) from Nelspruit. Looking forward to the day, and also for the view point that Roelf indicated.

As much as we would love to join in things are not in our favor. Hopefully once this Covid nonsense has blown over we can/will make it happen.

Apologies if we are messing you guys around

No problem, the 5th of September is on. If anyone wants to join, please send Bassfisher a PM with your phone number so he can add you on the Whatsapp group for further arrangements.

We had our outing on Saturday. It was a very lekker day. Roelf le Roux joined us and he explained how the rock formations formed millions and billions of years back. Very interesting. We also went to Diepgezet mine town "spookdorp". Well, what a sad sight. It is being stripped and about nothing is left. Glad I had the chance to see the place 3 years back while it was still in tact. Thanks for the day guys.

    Some pictures of the day.
