    Default 270 awning

You don't say what van you have... but here goes...

I've got this fitted to my Companion (the 2.45m version), and as you can see, it sticks out 2.3m from the van. The front is a bigger area, buy you lose the corner (bottom right of pic) so the area is much over muchness

Fatbike - sien jy in Paarl WC. Stuur pm na SAUK hier op die forum. Dis Renier van Shorty's adventure. Hy kan jou dalk ook goeie inligting/raad bied.
    Dalk custom bou ook.

They have 2 versions of the 270 awning...

That pic is of the "squareback", I've got the regular version, but then had the additional triangle added as a removable section, that I only use when I set up the sides.

I have the old Echo ChobeII with the older 270 Ostrich Wing Awning (think it is from Big country).
I bought the trailer with the awning already fitted and it is aprox 2.4m mounted on the side and when open it is aprox 2.2m
It feels very solidly mounted and very strong structure. I have been in some heavy wind storms where the awning worked well (even with the side panels mounted) if the poles are set down and pegged in.
I do however get some water "puddling" and have made some plans to address most of it but I still need to keep an eye on it.

I am also considering the bundutec Awning for the 360 coverage, mainly to cover the front pull out kitchen slide that does not get covered by the 270 awning.
I am just worried for the strength of the bundutec if it will standup the heavy winds that accompany some the Thunderstorms we get when camping/fishing at the dam with large open areas and no shelter from the wind.

Will be great to hear from anybody on how the bundutec bunduawn holds up in storms with or without side panels.
