alex was ahead of lewis therefore he had the right to the racing line not lewis. 2nd race in a row he spun Albon off the the track. a few laps later Leclerc and Sainz showed how you race hard but fair.

Penalty was light considering the impact it had on Albonís race.

You are correct what you are saying. At the point (or just before) impact, you will see that Hamilton was no longer ahead. This then shifts into Albonís favour where Hamilton needs to Ďcontrolí his vehicle not to bump the opposition off to regain his position.

Be as it may, the Stewards are the professionals as I am just a fan.

Canít wait to log on to Fridayís practice session. To make it more interesting, rainy weather is predicated for next weekís race. This evenís the field even more!

The commentator (former F1 driver) agreed with the stewards' ruling specifically on the point that "you have to leave a car's width and the passing car was far enough in front of LH's car that the line was his". This is also evidenced from the fact that Hamilton's front wheel whacked the other car's rear wheel.

By the way - I think LH was extremely lucky that he picked up no damage on his car, thus putting him out of the race. Those front suspensions aren't designed to take a whack from the side.

Everyone seems to be missing the fact that Albon was overtaking LH on the outside, something we don't see often in the modern era. I enjoyed the race but the future for an exciting season doesn't seem that bright, MB is far too dominant for that. I think the best we can hope for is a Bottas versus LH contest.

I noticed F2 races also produced more overtaking on the outside. I am not sure if it is only the track (track related), but some nice moves were done by the rookies in F2.

Could be track related nonetheless pulling that move on a world champion takes beeg ones. Both F2 races were great spectacles and I quite honestly prefer watching these than F1.

Yes, did you also notice a very different engine sound from them? (F2) Sounds like a massive wind turbine being charged up. I also like the bigger rims they are using.

    No NFL being played atm.

Alfa did get a $5000 fine for letting Kimi out with unsafe car.

And about no comments how well Bottas was doing

I go with SD. I do have all other options including helmet cameras but SD on the race is fine for me.

In general how do you guys have time to watch all the sport?

Bottas will have to up his game. Hamilton caught up with him in no time in the beginning. He was not on Hamilton's pace.

Sky F1 showed a clip where you could see the wheel nut fall off on one of the straights, this is not something that should be able to happen as the nut is incorporated into the rim so clearly there was some failure as the wheel seemed to go on fine and torqued to spec.

    By spending less time here

Seriously, I think many made the extra effort to watch some live sports again after the sporting drought.

Sadly I think the season will not be so exciting, well not upfront. If Merc sorts the sensor issue, they will be packing up the pit boxes while the others are still circulating.

Might see some good racing in the pack though.

One thing that was evident this weekend, is that George Russel is a prospect for the future, he once again was miles ahead of his team mate in a kuk car. I always thought it was Kubica that was slow, but he thumped Latifi this weekend (while he was still in the race)

Yes it was Latifi's first race, but I doubt he will come close to Russel this season. That guy needs maybe the Mclaren seat for next year ....

And racing point? Out of nowhere.

I do know that but I do not know why. Driver can destroy tires by pushing too hard, driver can be slower, driver can play tactics, team orders... It is one thing to catch up but to overtake is an other issue. During the race there were couple cases where same cars were together. Couple rounds behind and car following over heats, tires are finished...

Both went off the track during the time trials, Hamilton was penalized... Hamilton has to up his game.

Next weekend will be interesting. I do not know how many gearbox and what ever penalties are coming, will they get the cars fixed, rain...

I doubt that the is any form of "equality" in the 2 MB garages. Bottas was fastest in Q1,2 and 3. Bottas can compete with LH when all is equal, I am sure!
