Yip, going like a boeing. Maybe your ISP? I was on my Apple device and Windows 10 casting to LG TV.

Also continuing with my 2016 season now.

    My prediction:
    1. Lewis
    2. Max
    3. Charles

Great to have the circus back in town.

Red Bull’s protest against Mercedes’ DAS rejected by stewards: https://www.racefans.net/2020/07/03/...d-by-stewards/

"Red Bull’s protest against Mercedes over the legality of their dual-axis steering system has been rejected by the stewards at the Austrian Grand Prix.

The protest against the world champions’ new W11 car was lodged by Red Bull following today’s two practice sessions at the Red Bull Ring.
Red Bull objected to the design of the DAS system, which allows Mercedes’ drivers to adjust the toe angle of their front wheels by sliding the steering wheel forwards and backwards.

In their protest, Red Bull queried its compliance with regulations on the cars’ aerodynamic surfaces and suspension. However their claim DAS is part of the car’s steering system, and therefore may not be adjusted while the car is moving, was rejected.

The stewards ruled DAS is “physically and functionally a part of the steering system” and that “it benefits of the implicit exceptions to certain suspension regulations applicable to steering”.

The ruling has no effect on the legality of DAS beyond 2020, however. The FIA has already issued updated regulations for next season, when DAS will be banned. ..."

This is excellent news. I for one is pro-innovation. Christian Moaner reminds one of THAT kid in school.

Difficult to say. Different tyres, fuel loads etc. makes it impossible to predict this.

Qualifying will show true reflection. Just my view.

Why does it feel to me that Max is off the boil?
Those pink Mercedes-Benz clones are going to be fast. I don't mind the cloning, we need more cars fighting for the podium steps.
Ferrari may not be as slow as I had initially feared, but nobody is going to catch Mercedes-Benz.

I can’t even comment. I don’t have the data of fuel loads, engine modes etc. All of this play a role. Some teams do long stints in P1, low fuel loads P2, half fuel load P3 etc. to determine race pace.

For me, only quali will reveal it all.

Covarege of F1, on Sky, is just great. The F1 channel, permanent coverage. New aspect to watching F1.

And if you think the coverage on Sky UK is good, you should try Sky Italia, the commentary is mental!

I don't understand most of it, but it's extremely entertaining, makes Bruncle & Co. seem like geriatrics

So it turns out the Ferraris are as slow as I had feared.
Max drove very well and his "rebel strategy" may pay off tomorrow.

yup, Ferrari just slow. Happy for Bottas though

in related news I really enjoyed watching it via F1 TV app mirrored to the tv, now my last remaining reason to use anything dstv related is gone.

I am shocked to my core at Ferrari. I expected much more of them
Max will have his work cut out for him tomorrow on those medium tires
    McLaren, just wow
    Pink Mercs, awesome

Merc, what can you say? "In a league of their own" does not come close to describing them. Bottas on Pole, sounds a lot like the start of 2019 when came out all guns blazing and faded thereafter... My Queen Hamilton doesn't seem to be that happy with the result but I can assure you he is already planning tomorrow's race

Cant wait for the race tomorrow!!!

So Ya... McLaren back in the thick of things! Carlos, he might not be able to sleep tonight, he's got to be second guessing his move to Ferrari.

Ferrari is bringing a new chassis and design in three weeks time after discovering a flaw with their car. But I think they are shocked to see how far down they are.

I think Budapest is when Ferrari brings out their car.

I do not know how long it has been like that. You get the same feed from many countries. Some on funny languages in part.

Bottas has a new lady in his life - Australian. She is a professional cyclist and Bottas likes also cycling. As a result he is the fittest ever. Apparently he is also mentally well off. Maybe we will see some Merc racing this year.

Ferrari doesn't have power. They lost it under investigation last year. I think it was during the first session Vettel was 16th fastest on straight. No good at all.

Indeed, but apparently they will also be bringing an upgraded power unit with 15hp extra. I would be seriously concerned for 2020 if I were them. Just for the record, everyone knows I am a massive Merc fan, but I need Ferrari to perform better. Come on Ferrari, raise that bar, push harder

To be honest, I think Ferrari might only capitalize with the new regulations in 2022.....
