Good day Everyone,

I created my account way back but never really actively engaged on the forum. Maybe one or two posts.

Maar aangesien ek gister die gelukkige eienaar van 'n 1982 Datsun/Nissan Safari geword het, glo ek dat ek heelwat meer hierso op die forum gaan rond speel.
Ek het ongelukkige geen meganiese kennis so gaan maar by julle slim mense moet raad soek en vra soos ek deur die projek werk.

Enige ander Safari maatjies in Pretoria Oos en Omgewing?

LD28 enjin ek dink....

Thanks man. Paint on body has bit of cracking on rear and tail.
But overall condition very good. All interior goodies working.

Just want to get it to an expert asap to do inspection on the "important" stuff i.e: engine, transmission, shafts etc etc.
And a service.

Then will take my time and "prettify" it. Nice wheels, Rollbar, Winch, Re-spray. Cosmetics.

L28 petrol.

LD28 is diesel. Same block, different heads and front timing cover.

NICE NICE bakkies daai, hy was MYLE voor die J4 Cruiser in daai dae (1981/2/3/4/5/6).

As ek jy was.........maak body mooi skoon, en sit sy original staalwiele op, dink dit was grys gewees, daai maer tyres.

Absolute beauty .. congrats!
It is so close to original that I would keep it that way, would become a real collector's item rather than one that has been all blinged up.

I agree 100%. Would not butcher it at all. Would love to keep it as original as possible.
Would not mind getting hold of those original rims but not sure where to start how to looking for them?
