I just thought i'ld give a 6 month update (NZ spring/summer) on my set of Falken Wildpeak AT3's...

I'm very impressed in both the heat (tar) and sand (beach). I still prefer the look of BFGs, however the Falkens performance is noticeably superior in both the wet and dry on tar and sand. They also wear very well, i'm easily going to get 50,000km+ out of this set!

If these tyres are still not available in Southern Africa it is simply a crime. They are half-the-price of BFGs and most definitely a superior tyre. If someone decides to grey-import them, they will make some really good money!!!

    Reviving this thread again.
I currently have BFG KO2 on my Fortuner that have done 98,000km and it is time to change.
I do extensive off road holiday trips and to date have only one puncture. (Lucky me)
It has been suggested to me to look at the Falcon Wildpeak AT3W.
My concerns are durability- will I get the same kilometers out of them as I did with my BFG.
How strong are the side walls compared to BFG

    Any feedback would be appreciated

I had these on my Wildtrak. Very nice day to day gravel road handeling. Got one sidewall puncture that we wrote off. Did not do heavy offroading with them. I odered the same for the everest. They get very good reviews on the Aussie tyre compare website.
