    Default Falken Wildpeak A/T3W

Does anyone know if these are available in SA?
I see only the AT01 online.

Reading good reviews from the RR forums about these in R20.

Going to the tyre shop tomorrow, will ask about availability and report back

I did send Stamford tyres an online enquiry. Lets see if they reply.

The tyre shop says it's a new tyre, so not yet available in ZA, likely Q1 next year

Thanks Orxy. Much appreciated. I am not in the country, but need to buy tyres next week.
Stamford tyres actually replied to my online query, and they only said they don't import these.
The AT01 is on special at Errolstyres, but I like these AT3W more.

I had some Wildpeak AT01's fitted today, and the Falken rep was there. I asked her about the A/T3W, and she reckons because of the demand in especially the US, they cannot supply SA at the moment. But they are working on getting them to SA at the soonest.

I have had Wildpeak at3 27565 18 on my Wt Ranger for 20000k now. Good tyre. Agressive all terrain tyre . Not very noisy. Very popular now in OZ so in short supply here .Good on bitumen and beach and mud and rocks. Bit slippery if running at 3 bar on wet roads. Harder compound . I will likely get at least 70 000 km out of them. Strong sidewall to run deflated for long beach trips.
Price is reasonable and much better than the overrated Coopers or BFGs

I am on my second set of Falken AT02 on the D1.

Very good tyre. Good grip on tar, and the LT-spec was very durable in the rocks so far.

Maybe we should get a few more people to create a demand for it. It would be a a lekker tire to test on sani in winter 😁

Popular in Oz. Many Youtubers sponsored by them. I've looked by can't find them in SA.

How does that pattern not suit SA?

If it’ll work in Nevada summer or Minnesota winter seems ideal…

Same reason we couldnt get Golf 1 2 door here, only 4 door, but we could get the 2 door GT. Some suit decided it so.

    Default Falken Wildpeak A/T3W

I have used BFG KO2s for my previous three sets (x2 in Southern Africa, x1 New Zealand). Currently testing a set of Falken AT3s for past 3 months (in NZ).

    So far:
    - Half the price of BFG
    - Not as good looking on vehicle - rounded edges, not as square/aggressive looking, no white lettering
    - Much quieter tread pattern
    - Better grip on tar (eg. around a roundabout at speed)
    - Much better in wet conditions (NZ rain on tar).

Would I buy if available in SA? Absolutely - crazy they are not! Probably because the price would kill current competition.

Will give further feedback as we go into summer conditions
