    Default December 2019 SA Tour

    Hi all,

We have a trip planned for the end of the year. We are staying over in the below places in this order, leaving from Ballito.

    Rhodes
    Addo
    JBay
    Baviaans - Uitspan
    Swartberg - Gamkaskloof
    Tankwa - Perdekloof
    Cedarberg - Kagga Kamma
    Paternoster
    Elandsbay

Does anyone have any recommended routes? Would like to stay on dirt and do as many passes as much possible. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Cool Re: December 2019 SA Tour

Is it safe to assume you saw these episodes? Maybe some overlap with your stops?

For this section you can look at doing it in reverse of a trip I did in 2014

Baviaans = First time there? Hope you have enough days in the kloof, because there is so much to do and so beautiful. At uitspan, do the cave hike and the hike into the mountains next to the cave.

Tankwa = Drive up Gannaga Pass, have a drink at Gannaga Lodge and then back down Ouberg Pass.

From Kagga kamma you can go past Mount Cedar, through Eselbank, Wupperthal and then back to Clanwilliam via Pakhuis Pass. Bit of a long drive, but well worth it.
