Wow, looks like a factory bought canopy, well done!

Iím curious why you want to add a window in the back door? I wish mine was solid metal like yours.

    Thanks, I appreciate the comment

I want to add the window as I feel a bit uneasy (for lack of a better word) when reversing and driving and not being able to see directly behind me.... on the other hand... i could just add the radio with rear camera and resolve the issue anyway...

Thatís exactly what I did because I cannot see through all my camping equipment
I bought a unit with 4x park sensors, camera and screen. The park sensors only goes active when I reverse, but I leave the camera and screen permanently on and use that as my rear view mirror: (I removed the rear view mirror)

Interesting enough, at night time the camera shows me quite a bit more than what I would be able to see via a mirror, and I donít have to adjust the mirror when an idiot is driving behind me with brights

    Thanks,

Not too sure about the load bearing capacity, but I did test it with my own body weight just shy of 100 kg and the frame didn't even flex. So I am quite confident that it should hold up to some weight like firewood, jerry cans and so on... who knows, even a rooftop tent.

The rear door needs to be redone, as didn't have enough time to finish it with a window before we left for Holiday last year. But that should take me longer than a Saturday... I am very chuffed with the outcome and it works real good.

    Cheers.
    Wow. That is impressive.

It looks better than some of the commercial ones I've seen out there (really. Not kidding).

Please send details of the reverse camera. I am interested. I cannot see through my rear view mirror!

Very well done! Would you mind posting some pics with side windows and rear door open. How did you fix the black alu to the frames?
