"Construction of the Kangnas Wind Farm started in June 2018. 19 months later the wind farm is reported to be on time and on budget, having lifted over half of the 61 turbines."

Never underestimate the importance of the above highlighted in any project

So 100% clear that Eskom or their supreme ANC leaders had nothing to do with the construction there

Not to sound ungrateful, but I’ve had no load shedding today. They already missed 2 scheduled shedding sessions, and the last one is only due at 23.00. This may end up being a pretty normal day - my batteries will be happy!

    Anyone else experienced this?

Yes, since yesterday. Tshwane released on their website it's due to the sub station explosion in Pretoria North. All the power that is suppose to go to the North is being funneled to the rest of Pretoors.

Eskom has now eventually pulled the plug on Zim too, was on this morning's news. So Zim went from 18 hours a day load shedding in some parts, to 24 hours. Power will now only be on every other day. And we complain about our 2.5 hours at a time.

Let’s not fall into the trap of low expectations that dogs Africa as a continent

They cannot get the power back on our area. Looks like some parts simply have retired.

It is always a dreaded time to start up big areas or a whole factory after a down day. Always new problems that did not exist before the down time.

This one has to experience and will never point a finger at those who perform that duty daily.

    As posted on another thread
    Timelines is quite iffy

2 days after publishing their once again massive request for increases and before the stake holders can publish their opinion we go into load shedding again
Same as last year in fact

Now is this the only reason we are load shedding?

Probably not but you must not allow all the clouds in the sky to stop you from seeing the massive amount of smoke either
And as we all know where there is smoke there is fire
In this case because the people wanted to warm their food and had no electricity
