Default Seeduiker campsite - Namaqua NP

    Hi

Anyone with more info on the new campsite Seeduiker in Namaqua NP? Any photos maybe? We are booked there for December but can't find anything regarding this new campsite.

On google earth it looks like there is a nice beach right in front of the campsite?

We're also staying at Seeduiker over that period - 27 Dec - 1Jan

It's apparently a brand new site. Would also like some more info on it.

We did not camp at Seeduiker but went there to have a look at it and it is a really nice campsite.
Nice and level and close to the sea.
You will enjoy camping there in my opinion.
We camped at Skuinsbaai Noord from 1 to 13th Sept'19.

Where is it in relation to Koringkorrelbaai? North or south and how far?

I don't know this site, it wasn't there when I was there in September last year. Nevertheless, it looks like it could be subject to a real buffeting from the wind - take good wind shelters and remember your shower tent or similar.

Paul, if it's only a few kms from Delvers then a 4x2 would be fine if I remember correctly. It's at about 20 kms from the gate that one enters that hectic sandy patch just before Kwass se Baai.

I have asked a friend that camped with us about Seeduiker as he actually got out of his vehicle to look at the site, and he confirms that there is a sandy patch next to the big boulders and rocks.
Not really a beach as it is too small for that but a sandy patch yes.
My opinion on that part of the coast is no matter which campsite you book you will have a beautiful view and if it is windy then it is windy at all the camps.
Still worth every cent you pay to camp at the sites.Love the Park.

Paul as per shfish reply to explore the Park fully a 4x4 is required due to the very thick sand and dunes you have to cross on certain sections, however with careful planning it is possible to enter the Park at Gert Sarrisam and camp at some spots with a 4x2 vehicle with some ground clearance.
A person will need to stay away from the sandy patches and fortunately those spots are well marked with warning signs everywhere.
You will be able to travel on some of the twee spoor coastal roads next to the sea.Just deflate the tyres to 0.8-1.2 Bar depending.

Bruce you are allowed to fish provided you buy a fishing license at any Post Office.
I have never seen anyone fish in the Park myself though.
On the map and brochure of the Park the above info is mentioned.
    Enjoy.

Bring your fishing stuff and just speak/checkout the locals , they are helpful and will advise you and belief me they will be just as proud as you if you caught a good size , now and can't say the name of the fish it is a Etzebeth thing .
Last December plenty were caught .
We are there from first week December till first week Januarie at Boulder's so we might bump into each other .

Thanks! I have a 4x4 but was just seeking info on the road to the new campsite. Those deep sand patches near the caves have caught many a 4x4.

Try the spot at the lighthouse. Have not fished but hear from the locals it is v.good for galjoen.

Just remember the wind usually howls in Namaqua - up to 70 kmh. Not sure how this will affect casting etc.
