    Default 265/75r16

    Hi,

Im looking at replacing my next set of tyres with 265/75r16 , i currently run 235/85r16.

I dont really like spacers and like the look of 265 without spacers, is there anyone running 265 on their landy and can comment on the turning circle etc.

    Thanks.

You can run 265 on the defender with no mods at all. It will steer a bit heavier than the 235, but nothing major.

you will need to slightly adjust the steering limit bolts, or you may get rubbing on full lock against trailing arms.

turning circle will be ever so slightly larger, but it’s not exactly nimble to begin with, so not a real issue.

it will push up fuel consumption noticeably, and I would think this through very carefully. Land Rover knew what they were doing when they fitted 235/85/16s on a defender.

You will have to adjust your steering stops, so turning circle a bit worse. on boost even worse with positive offset rims.

The rears will rub the coil towers with boost rims under extreme articulation, but nothing too serious.
