    Question Campsites in March 2020

    Hi All,
So vehicle is booked for 3 weeks and am putting plans together. My question is apart from the NWR sites and possibly Spitzkoppe do i need to book in advance or will availability be good that time of year. My reason for this is in planning a route i have to commit/pay in advance and loose a certain amount of freedom.
Your input would be greatly appreciated
    Thanks

Depending on where you want to go. Share your itinerary with us for more meaningful answers.

Anyhow, if you intend to visit far north, ie Kunene or Caprivi, I don't think you need reserving in advance.
24 hours in a day.... 24 beer in a case.... Coincidence?

We are busy planning for our June 2020 trip for Southern Nam. We want to book in advance to be sure, me, my wife and 3 teenagers.

So just got a response for booking at Sesriem campsite which I know is always booked out in advance. So it is R490 pppn. That is R2500 per night for camping. Ais-ais comes to R1600 per night.

    Isnít this a little crazy?

And last time I visited Ais Ais it was totally substandard. Will not go back there.

    Hi

We used to make all the bookings in advance back in the day. If it is your first time and you do want to make sure you see a certain collection of sites then booking might be a good idea. Nowadays we just pack up and go. We normally go during the june/july school holidays, whitch is considered to be the start of "high" season. If you are able to camp you will always find a spot somewhere. It is wonderfull to have the freedom to just go or just stay. We go for 3 weeks every year and we do not book one single night in advance.
