    Default Crank pulley

    Hi all

My 2011 Santa Fe has had a bit of a noise at low RPM when in traffic. It is almost like something is loose.
At higher constant speeds you would not hear it at all.

I have asked advise from the dealership and was advised that it may be the crank pulley, i.e. where the rubber between the pulley is parting.

Have any other Santa Fe owner had this issue before. I was told that a new pulley is very expensive.

    Appreciate your advice as always.

    Thanks
    Kavesh

Why not video record this, upload to youtube and post the link here. Will make potential diagnosis a little easier..

Common issue on the diesel Kia Sportage, the vibration dampener comes apart, if it is the problem you can expect to loose drive via the belt at some stage.
