Styling wise it should be a stunner...

Will wait and see if the bring it in with the 1.9 RZ4E. I stronly believe the current 2.5 4JK1 is one of the best diesel engines out there. Fuel quality seems like the main concern for the RZ4E motor so will have to wait and see what developments they have in line. Although not a too fond of these "smaller" capacity engines reviews about it looks good

I think I might be getting me a current generation X-Rider when the new one is released in SA... Prices should be decent when a newer model is launched

The new 3.0, 140kw and 450nm of torque that is a decent step up!

And it’s arriving next year sometime, in South Africa.

Its kind of sad that they have done away with the 2.5 engine. That engine gave Isuzu a good name but its outdated now.

I agree, the 2.5 (100kw) is a newer engine than the old 3.0liter which they’ve kept but just upgraded.

A consumption of approximately 3l/100km...That is remarkable.

Unfortunately, if the engine gives you problems its going to cost a fortune to rebuild..

I'm bias toward Isuzu's, their motors are built to last...

This is looking more and more a R800k vehicle everytime I look at it. The 2019 list on a 3.0 LX 4x4 was around R640k. Slightly cheaper than its closest rivals but I never thought I would see the day when one spends R640k on a car and it wasn't a top or the range luxury BMW or Mercedes.

I just think cars are getting way to expensive as the years go by. My 2013 is serving me well. Will do a few performance mods and just keep driving it. A six speed box would be nice though.

Cool Re: All-new Isuzu D-Max teased

I have been waiting for such a long time, D.Teq was 1st diesel car that I owned. The power back then, 2007, was awesome. Now since we have a new engine, and gorgeous looks, I think I am going back to my always favorite bakkie brand.

If I only had the money...damn that looks good! I should be able to afford a 2020 model (by about 2040). Maybe I should get a sponsor...

In my experience, Isuzu has always followed a it of a "reserved styling" approach compared to other mainstream manufacturers. Which personally I never had an issue with. I'm not a big fan of "flashy" cars.

This new style however looks awesome! They seem to be letting their designers loose a bit more, just enough "flashy" while not going over the top.

Just hope the engines will be as reliable as ever.

That last pic above in blue....nice.

It looks great. Any word on gearboxes?

Ok, I see mention of a 6 speed manual but not much detail on the auto.

Under the bonnet, the range-topping versions get a revised version of the 4JJ1 3-litre turbodiesel, which now produces 140kW and 450Nm, up from the current model’s 130kW and 380Nm. As with the current version, the 3-litre engine is offered with a choice between six-speed manual and six-speed automatic gearboxes.
