    Thanks for sharing - just back from Hwange & heard lots of positive about Gonerezhou & want to visit in Aug/Sept 2020 so this article is great!!

    yes, defenitely a wonderfull place.

    However, we always must travel in February.

    We visited Gonarezhou in Feb 2018.
    were not disappointed because we expected that travelling around would be difficult.

    but
    At first the ranger at the north gate did not want us to travel around at all.
    Only after a few discussions we agreed we would travel only upto Chilojo camp for two nights and would be very carefell to drive around from the campsite.

    It was a pitty that we could not do more but we were not that stupid to ignore his advise

    still the area is worth a visit even in Feb, we shall be back
