    I love this thread. Always had a second look at these vehicles everytime I saw one! Never sat in one unfortunately.

    Tell me, the back roof part, is it removable like a bakkie canopy or not? It almost look like a separate piece on all the vehicles but I can't recall ever seeing one "topless", so maybe it is a fixed fitting?

    Canopy can be removed with lots of interior trim removal.

    Actually fixed piece to create 'removable' look

    Yes it does look like it can be removed but it seems like a LOT of work. Its made of fiber-glass I suspect because it sounds like plastic when I knock on it.


    Might one day toy with the idea of making it into a bakkie setup but I dont have that kind of skill and paying someone to do that is going to bankrupt me I suspect.

    Had the two front seats recovered. Only the driver's seat was fooked but I did not want to have them look different, and could not get the exact same material.

    Not the most expensive job but it looks OK and sits much better now.
