    Default YD25 oil sweat turbo

    Hi all,

I am hoping for an opinion on this oil I spotted this morning. The wifeís daily drive so not sure how long its taken to sweat like this.

Need to know if I should have it checked out by someone to acoid any issues. Car on 90k km now...no power loss, nothing weird, getting my normal fuel consumption.

Sorry about the cell pics, hopefully the oil is visible, photos were taken from LHS of engine bay toward the back

This has been discussed before. Just do a search

It's normal for them to sweat. Have the intercooler cleaned now and then.

Oh yes and now that you are listening to the engine, you'll probably start hearing a turbo whine.
    That's normal too.

Thanx for that. Have already made peace with the whistle, and slight injector rattle around 2000rpm.

Thatís a relief....found that old thread now. Seems from all the forums that the issue is the placement of the PCV inlet that results in the intake side gunking up. Gonna give it a clean this week and look at getting a catch can fitted.

What is the process of cleaning the intercooler? Can I do it myself or take it to a radiator place to have it cleaned?

You can clean the intercooler yourself with petrol, thinners or paraffin. And a good airgun. It's an absolute pain in the ass to remove though. Good Luck.
