I feel it only fair that the Everest also gets some of the lime light...

Please share any mods, DIY tricks and trips that you have done!

The Everest is an awesome all round SUV, with amazing off road capability! So please share your adventures!

Recently fitted a set of Cooper Zeon LTZ 285/60R18 and did a budget lift (spacers and coils)

Entire vehicle is about 55mm higher with a diff clearance increase of about 13mm.

Next up is rocksliders and a bash plate. Hoping to fit next week.

Some things I did to my Everest before I rotated back to a Ranger.

    Followed that thread with interest!

I am planning to do the roof-rack and RTT soon. Already have the tent! (You didn't just maybe take of the roof-rack before going to the Ranger...)

Fridge and dual battery will probably also be sorted sometime. Just going to get a cigarette socket to Hella adapter for the fridge in the meantime.

I did not want to fiddle with the roof lining of teh Everest and also refused to spend R10+k on a roof rail system. I bought Thule bars that fitted on the factory rails and had the tent on that. I didn't load jerries on them as well, to keep weight down. Never had issues though. It worked a charm. Unfortunately I sold the Thule's some weeks ago.

I hate Hella plugs. I got rid of the lot. I use cigarette plugs or Brad Harrison/Anderson, whatever they are called these days, to connect power. That Hella plug never seats properly and if you want an adapter, I will give you mine. It is the worst waste of R100 I ever spent. The Hella doesn't seat properly, naah, enough. With adapters, there are too many "links" that can "fail".

Enjoy the process of getting your Everest sorted! Enjoy every mile in it. I really enjoyed mine.

Thanks for the info. The adapter is very temporary until I fit my Dual battery setup.

I want to change everything to Brad Harrison, as they can carry way more amps. Then I can run the fridge of it, and also have another plug available for accessories especially the compressor.

The battery box I built already has the Hella plugs, so the plan is to use them for additional internal and external lights.

It seems that fitting a roof rack to an Everest is a bit of a mission with the roof lining needing to be removed.

Has anyone fitted a full roof rack on their Everest?

My needs are split between a full length roof rack or a trailer...

Fitted a set of Desert Armour Rock sliders and a Desert Armour 5mm Alu Bashplate today.

Really happy with the fitment and clearance. Thanks 4x4 Megaworld Bloemfontein for the awesome service!

I also parked like an idiot...

Decided it was time to test all these nice mods.

Went for the toughest hill in town, known as "briekmerk"

Everest was in 4L, Diff-lock engaged and also in rock crawl mode, and made the climb with ease!
