    Default 8x15 inch rims

I'm running 33x10.5x15 tyres but they are on 7in rims which seem to be "squeezing" the tyres.
I can't find any 8in here in Zambia.
Anyone know of suppliers in SA?

    Thanks Clive

    Steel Modular would be ideal.

I'll call them in the morning

7J with 10.5 rubber is not all that bad. On my Hardbody/Sani, I run 33x12.5x15 on 8J rims. Some guys say they actually don't debead as easy as when running wider rims. I have not had any offroad experience on my setup, so can't actually comment. On the road, you do get a somewhat more "wobbly" ride due to sidewall flex. But it was probably more noticeable to me as I went from 245's (29x9.5x15) rubber to 33x12.5x15. I may have a different story to tell when go to my 35's on those 8J's, we will see.

Yes 31x10.5x15 fit really nicely on 7J rims and give good all round contact: I run them on all my Hiluxes; however the 33's on 7in do seem to pinch a lot, hence the reason why I want 8in rims.

Do you happen to have a picture of your tyre and rim combination so I can envisage the contact area?

    Thanks

I believe these are something like -40 offset. So very deep dish.

Definitely much more contact than mine, what pressure are you running?

I think those are at 1.8bar. Vehicle been standing there for over 18 months now.

Difficult for me to really comment on handling performance because I only put them on after a 7" lift on a SFA conversion with leaf springs. So dynamics of the vehicle changed drastically.
