Morning all.

What fun it has been! We built a network last year for fibre operator, our first one for this specific operator. We did all the tests last year that we could do before going live all was well and we passed and got paid. They were supposed to go live this week and did final connections a few days ago. Oops the last tests that can only be done when all is patched to the Web. Fail fail fail.

Then a comedy of errors ensued which I won't explain here, but I have aged considerably in the last few days and missed deadlines like never before.

Then to top it all the water department sends in a Tlb to dig up a few streets to replace their ageing pipes. Rips up kms of cable especially the main feeder cable a few hours before hand over. If it was handed over it would be some one else's problem. Strictly speaking I can invoice the municipality, but that is not worth the effort. Back to the drawing board! Find an alternative route where they are finished and retrench.

This is gonna be a good day. I have decided and I am going to find ways to make it better.

On a completely different note the passing of Andre just brings your struggles into perspective and make you realise all of this effort is just temporal and you are not taking any of it with. When I had an issue with my eyes early this year Andre was there with advice and well wishes. Rest well friend.

So the second month of 2021 draws to a close. Next week is March, almost a year since the topsy turvy of 2020 started, on the 5th.

I like Andrew's theme for the day; Be Yourself. I suppose many of us have a number of personas, a forum one, a work one, a home one, a pub one. We probably swop them out without realising we do. A number of years ago I decided that the reality and world view I had, wasnt fully mine. It consisted of a hodge-podge of mine and other's expectations of me. I was a King Knute of note, (much less of one now) but I have settled into me and I find, as Andrew says, its far more comfortable. (Although I admit, possibly not for some other people).

So be you, make today yours, put your stamp on it.
