To a beautiful sunny and warm morning. There is a promise of new life and a new start in nature.

After a tough week of stress, sadness, pure shock and many other feelings, the warmth and the anticipation in nature gives me hope.

There will still be some cold coming, but I must remind myself to then think back to days like today.

    Have a good one.

    Cheers all!

Yesterday was a rough day as many people I know of or care for finished their race due to Covid.

The closer I get to those who are going through this, the more I know the death figures are way understated.

At the same time, my family and I are celebrating being completely symptom free. Thank you!

So here we are back to a new Monday full of opportunities and challenges.

Currently the early morning moon is something to see!

Enjoy your Monday people. Make it better than what it wants to be.

    Good morning.

MIL living with us, called for help yesterday morning. Pain in her side, can barely move. So we went down do the flat to,see what is going on. Decided to take her to the ER, although she is high risk. Huge battle to get her to the car. The whole episode played out almost exactly like when swambo's dad passed away 2 years ago, so she relived the whole thing and is taking it quite hard.
At the hospital things are obviously difficult at the moment. Had to be screened first, swambo couldnt wait in the waiting room etc. So they finally attended to her at 17:00. I picked up swambo at 19:00 as she was still sitting outside on the pavement waiting to hear what was going on. Doctor did bloodwork and CT scan. We got a call at 23:00 to say she is being admitted for the night. We know nothing more. Communication is difficult as one cant enter the hospital if you are not a patient. At least she has a bed now so you know where to call.

This month is turning out to be the peak of 2020 for me. Really rocky start in business and personal.
MIL got a covid test doen as well last night, guess its procedure as she certainly doesnt have it.

New week, new challenges, big boy pants on! Have a great week guys, whish you luck!

Reading some of the replies on this thread, and even some on other threads, I think a toast is needed for anyone who still has a job, has his or her health, and hasn't lost anyone due to covid yet.

I am fortunate to be in the bracket, so indeed, TODAY is a great day.

A Toast to the imminent arrival of spring, the last few days I noticed the birds are more chirpy, the sun rises a little earlier, goes down a little later.

Ironically, in eswatini, the un baning of booze coincides with spring day 1st September

    Gooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo ood Morning

I think today we should congratulate Wynand (Toxxyc) for this:

    https://www.4x4community.co.za/forum...ook-the-plunge

Even though things were grim, Toxxyc still showed up at IAT and participated as normal. And he didnt stick around but decided to chart his own course.

There are others on this forum in a similar situation yet they continue to carry on and push onward.

So, today, a toast to those like Wynand, who make great days greaterer.

    Cheers

Good morning, so I got a bit of a lifeline yesterday from an unexpected source. Projects are getting completed one by one, and we are going camping this weekend. Things are starting to look better again, it has been a tough few weeks.

MIL is still in hospital, on a liquid diet to ease the strain on her stomach. But she is feling better. She will be there for another day or 3 but she is not in any danger.

We are not getting signs of spring like other parts yet, our autumn arrived very late. But its now the time of winter that I can actually deal with.

I spoke to Wynand (Toxycc) when he was still uncertain about the move, and I am glad he pushed through. Congrats on taking the leap! Swambo also took the plunge to quit her job in Lockdown and things are slowly gaining momentum.

    Happy humpday to all.

This is great news and I will do my bit to spread the love as well even if I do not consume alcohol.
My back op is due for tomorrow and after that it is a very speedy but calculated recovery for me because my second one is only 25 days away

May all have a superb day and even though the view is not what its used to it will be another bright day aheadName: 1596599411588.jpg

Morning from a 2 degree Touws River has been on the road since 4 am.

    Loving traveling after lock down.

All have a great day. I will enjoy my time in Cape Town.

Wonderful to see the amount of trucks on the road. The economy might have taken a dip but its not dead

    Cheers guys.

    Morning all,

Waking up with Debby snuggled next to me makes every day great!

Our one concern after the Brachy was how we would change the habits of 23 years and not cuddle while sleeping, however, my oncologist has told us that it is not a problem, so indeed a great day.
