Default [PR] New Land Rover Defender - World Premiere 10 Sep 2019

Pretoria, 29 August 2019 Ė Land Rover has given a first glimpse of the new Defender ahead of its world premiere at the Frankfurt Motor Show on 10 September.

The road to reveal for Land Roverís most capable and durable 4x4 started in one of the most land-locked locations on earth, among the towering 300m canyons of the Valley of the Castles in the remote Charyn Canyon, Kazakhstan.

Across seven decades of pioneering innovation, Land Rovers have earned a unique place in the hearts of explorers, humanitarian agencies and adventurous families across the world. Proven in the harshest environments on earth, the new Defender maintains this bloodline.

Beside the peerless luxury and refinement of the Range Rover family and the highly capable and versatile Discovery SUVs, new Defender completes the Land Rover dynasty.

Driven by a passion and respect for the original, new Defender delivers transformational breadth of capability and advanced all-terrain technologies to redefine adventure for the 21st century, while remaining true to the pioneering spirit that has been a Land Rover hallmark for 71 years.

For those not at the Frankfurt Motor Show, you can watch a livestream of the reveal of new Defender HERE at 9.50am on 10 September.

The DEFENDER 2 seems to be paying hommage to many a LR model not only the DEFENDER 1.

If itís packed with electronics and tech then Iím not sure of what the point of it will be.

Pricing Iím sure will be ridiculous in the same way that the new Wranglers pricing is ridiculous

Every body in there life grow up and get married, right, and the you procreate ( have children), it could be one or two maybe even three and some even five. Nice big families. Now if any one of those children do not look like either you or your wife or even a member of your or her family, boy you have a problem, particularly if the child looks like the plumber who came to fix the geyser 18 months ago.

Now what is different in the Land Rover family, a true royal heritage family, a family of class. Of course all models will have a resemblance of each other just like you and your family. Those comments that are supposed to be derogatory like oh it looks like a Range Rover or looks like a Disco 4 and even post a picture of a Range Rover Sport, those are all compliments, compliment to the Royal Family. Good god just imagine if the cracked the shell and out pops something looking like a JEEP, aaargh. Or even a Cruiser even worse.

I am so proud of my famous Land Rover brand who have stuck to their guns in true tradition and have produced a wonderful child to take over the name of the iconic DEFENDER and surely to god will prove to be the most capable 4x4 all terrain vehicle ever produced in the world.

Agree, it is sad that there are people that can't express themselves properly without doing it.

    Wow... What a load!

...does the land cruiser 79/76 look like all other toyota's?
...does the wrangler look like all other jeeps?

they each bear resemblance to their respective ancestors.

Ja nee lyk my jy mag nie jou opinie hier lug oor hoe iets lyk as dit nie 'n goeie opinie is nie.

Biggest joke of it all is that I am a HUGE Defender fan , having owned 8 or 9 myself - from a TDi 300 to a TD5, 110 CSW's, 130's and a couple Pickups (of which 2 were V8's.)

Daai mudflaps wat so waai - waai as jy ry.

Vir my, anyways.
