    Default BFG KO2 Balancing problem

Just after buying my Prado 150 VX-L I replaced the tires with BFG KO2’s. The car would start shuddering at speeds between 90 and 120 kmph. After many attempts at rebalancing them the BFG rep was called and replaced all the tires. This was after the tires had done 3000kms. The new set have a similar problem at similar speeds. I am at the tyre shop at least once a month where they keep on rebalancing them and turning them on the rims. I am at my wits end and went in today again and once again an appointment was made with the rep. Has any body else experienced similar problems with these tyres. The BFG’s on my previous vehicles gave no problems.

Donít blame yourself over past mistakes. Itís like driving down the N1 while looking in the rear view mirror only.

My first KO2's I bought, from the 4 tyres they replaced two that were impossible to balance. I took them back the next day and demanded replacement. 265/75/16

The set I have now were 100% out the box, no issues (265/65/17). They are fine but still pretty tricky to balance. I rotate every 10-15,000km and so far they have been good. I might be considering another brand when I replace these. We'll see...

Try Tyremart Six fountains close to Makro/volvo/ford. With their Roadforce balancing machine. Had good results on my KO2's

    Default BFG KO2 Balancing problem

No problems on the Pajero with 18Ē ko2. Now done 6000km.
But I noticed they put heavy weights on at TWT when balancing them.
    Very happy with their performance.
    But I never exceed 120kmh.

I have the same problem with my KO2's at the moment.

Trying to get the rep to comeout is trying my patience.....

Was always a staunch BF fan but not doing it for me right now

I feel the same way. Luckily the dealer at the time sorted me immediately with two replacements.

I run mine 2.3 in town unladen and 2.5-2.6 loaded for travel.

Basically, LT tires are really hard to balance. See above post on "Road Force" fancy balancing machine.

Same problem on my VX200 Cruiser. Had a set that lasted 50k and bought a 4 new tires.
From day one it vibrated at speed. Rebalanced them 3 times and then got the rep to explain.
Of the 4 they salvaged one and scrapped three. They even scrapped one brand new tire.
They turned them on the rim several times. Now itís OK but I still have a slight rumble at 140 kph.
    The tires are not round.

I had a similar issue with the BF's on my FJ and High Speed resolved my issues, standard balancing did not work.
