Don't like the military/tactical look of some trailers. It's unnecessarily aggressive and not in the spirit of camping and the outdoors. I know it appeals to many but it's just too 'Rambo' for me. Like the classic caravan or practical over-landing look. Steel rims, nothing flashy.

For a trailer, I find the Metalian trailers look great for a local product.
The Patriot X1 & X2 are very nice.
My budget just made it to a Jurgens XT140, which I think looks good, too.

We have had our Imagine Comfortvan for 5 years now, do not use it enough!

In deciding what to buy, we really looked at everything on the market and this was the only one that talked to me, looks and the works as I do not feel like moving a tank around!

The decision was very personal, comfortable bed, lot of storage space, low start-off weight (820 kg), inside shower and you only knock your head three times over a weekend, no doors that fall off or cupboards that waits on the floor in Central Kalahari!

Been through Moremi, Savuti, Central Kalahari and a number of rough patches and never had a breakdown or internal damage at all. Only maintenance to date was servicing the wheel bearings and brakes and repairs to the hand brake when the missus hooked up halfway and one jockey wheel damaged.

We also have an Echo 3, which funny enough, actually sets up faster than the Imagine but is obviously in a totally different category? Start off by renting a unit or six and buy then!

Had the Jurgens XT140, moved to Echo, now in a Jurgens Oryx and would like to get the Tuffcats Mbada. This has to be one of the best built off roaders with all the bells and whistles as standard features. Someone has clearly thought "out of the box" when designing this great van. Also, very well priced for what you get.

Been there, done it, got the T-shirt.
Good luck finding one that will fit like a glove

We have been looking around for a few years before we purchased a Echo 4 basic/empty.
Made some changes, bought their plastic trays and installed with our design of racks and things
Used the setup for 7 years when climbing up the ladder got a bit much for us and the setup time was way to much with all the awnings.
Had a small awning made fir just over the kitchen.

Then hunted for a caravan type off roader and looked at all that was on the market, process took 2 years.
Our criteria was weight (as light as possible), quick setup (tent must not take hours and everything needs a place so no unpacking), and the manufacturer must be willing to do mods.
So we ended up with the Echo, Afrispoor and Bush Lapa.
Had look at each one and pitched it from scratch alone (one person)
All three were close at setup (BL beat the other two).
Looking at layouts the BL Kewer were almost what we wanted and the lady of the house sort off liked it.
So we procured Nov 2017 and over the past years made mods and adjustments, this seems to be ongoing and never ending.

Wish we could combine the features of our top 3, unfortunately not and it comes at a price.

If all you’re interested in is how it looks get the one you like the look of!
We have a Bush Lapa that does the business and will go wherever the Hilux goes. If you know what off road is, and mean off road, the BL is the one!
