I'm sure someone will help you soon...

Before you criticize someone, you should walk a mile in their shoes.

That way, when you criticize them, you're a mile away and you have their shoes.

    Okay

So I have been wearing Biofinity lenses for 3 years.

Last week I go for a check up as its been a while.

I get told, you were provided with the wrong script originally.

    Was on:

    RL: -5.25 B/C: 8.6
    LL: - 4.25 B/C: 8.6

I was told by the new optometrist the above was way too strong.

I was prescribed the attached. He has now changed the strength AND moved me over to the Toric version.

Been wearing them since saturday and I am getting headaches and it doesnt seem 100%. I did however
wear the old lenses for years at the significantly stronger levels.

Is it going to take a while for my eyes to adjust hence the headaches? Or did I get knobbed again?

    Thanks

You need to go back to the optometrist and tell them the problem. They should be able to advise you

I can only relate an experience.

Some time back Johnson and Johnson had a particular contact lens that Swambo used. She was then told that they were discontinued and she had to try something else. Numerous trial pairs later and not one was suitable.

Lo and behold there was so many complaints that the originals were put back in stock and to this day are still freely available.

A person's eyes do change over time, but usually one needs stronger lenses!

When I first started wearing glasses with multifocal lenses it was quite traumatic until I got used to them. So quite understandable that you are having difficulty making the transition.

The only acceptable advice any of us can give is that you contact or go back to the optometrist and ask for advice on making the transition.

Or go to another optometrist for a second opinion? But then your medical aid probably will not pay.

My eyes are getting better by the year. Every year my prescription is getting weaker and weaker.

I have been short sighted my whole life. As you get older you become near sighted. This offsets the far sighted to a degree.
