    Default Point 3.2

    Afternoon/Mirrag

So I have just joined the Ford family even after many of my Toy-boata advised against it.
But after loads and loads of research and long nights deciding what to go for it was quite the clear victory for me.

We decided on the 3.2 XLT 2x4 Auto. Reason for the 3.2 was towing reasons as the Jeep is quite thirsty when it comes to this.
So much so that my wife and I drove up to Pta from Cpt with my old baby a 2017 Audi S3(she will be missed the car not my wife) at 23:00 to do the trade.

We have never been happier with a vehicle choice, or I might I say I will never be happier(wife loves her Jeep).

At this stage she is stock(once again the my bakkie not my wife).
Have a few plans for her just to make her more unique and mine.

Look forward to many happy kilo's with her.

1st Picture is on collection day.
2nd Picture is returning to the good ol Cape.

    Cheers for now

Very nice congratulations! If I may ask did you look at the 2.0 biturbo? And why did you choose the 3.2 over it seeing that you tow 500nm vs 470nm.

I stand corrected but you donít get the XLT Double cab in the 2.0 BiT. Its the 2.0 single turbo, cuase its just the Wildtrak and the Raptor that comes in the 2.0 BiT and they were both quite a bit out of my price range. I got a very very good deal on the 3.2.

Correct. The BiT only comes in the Wildtrak

    Seems like the wise choice.

We have more than 10 in the fleet (2.0L)... One gearbox failure already (I have no further detail on that though, fleet lady keeping mum on feedback from Ford)... But we have our 2nd one at Ford for Injector replacements.

It would seem to be the smart thing to wait for the kinks to be solved with the first batch before getting these vehicles.

I have read on the FB page that there is a recall on the injectors for the BiT at the moment. Seems par for the course that there will be some kinks to sort on these new models. So far after driving the SiT Everest, BiT Wildtrak and the Raptor I am most impressed by the new 10-speed box. Just traded my 2.2 A/T in on a new one

The 3.2 requires no gear shifting beyond 5th (uphills and downhill) and 6th (level) to get the towing job done. The 2.0 will require, listen carefully, 32 2398477 23 498234987234 (Zuma numbers) of gear shifts to get the job done. Just like gear shifting in Fast and Furious. Lovely!

I wonder if the 2.0 BiT also detunes itself at high altitudes like the 3.2....??
