Gents here is the google earth placemark.

You can see the loops through the river flood plain, then on the other side of the road is the mountain loop, and near the placemark is a big play area.

See my video jeep flex, that was taken at takbok.

Funny, I always thought of Takbok as being just outside Paarl...suppose it depends how you look at it
Sorry I will still be at work that weekend.

Yes, it's closer to Paarl than Franschhoek.

Note that this will be a (Sun)day drive on the 5th. I'm in unless something comes up.

Pitty there wont be much water, the sand trail can be fairly tame when it is dry. Mountain trail is a different story though.

    Default Takbok Trip

    Hello Gentlemen

I don't suppose my 2005 KJ 2.8 CRD Auto in stock standard form is up to this trip? Can anyone advise me?

    Thank you

Do not worry, My TJ is also stock and the guys are very nice in the respect they are not there to damage your car. They help me a lot and also advise me what I can do and cannot do.
And also so nice thing about this track is , that if you or your vehicle can not do it there is a side track.

We are planning to do both.
There were talks that the track itself can be a bit boring for the guys with the big lift and toys. But they are willing to help us with the stock Jeeps.
Then after the track we will play in the sand. That is the best fun. Then the stock can help them.

Last time we went to the track at 10:00, but this must still be confirmed.
