    Default Wheel Bearings

    Hi Guys

I need to replace the rear wheel bearings on my Scorpio.
The stealers ask R3 500 per side for bearings!
That is just day light robbery.
The previous time I got bearings from Mandarin parts, but the quality seems poor. They only lasted for about 20 000km.
Any idea where I can get decent bearings in Gauteng for less that R7 000?

Here is what I would do: Ask the dealers to email you a quote. That should give you their part number. Phone Masterparts (don't know if they have a branch in Gauteng, but you can even ask Cape Town) and ask them for a cross reference to a SKF part number. Don't buy Partquip. FAG also okay, but SKF better.

If you had the measurements it would be so much easier

I know Bearing Man sells kits for vehicles, not sure whether they do trailers though.
