    Default Rain! - Rain reports

Light rain in Springbok area this morning.

This is from the first cold front.

The large front only moves in later today with snow predicted on the W. Cape mountains tonight.

I measured 31mm this morning, fell during the night. I cleared out my rain measure again, expecting at least another 20mm for the rest of the day.

So lekker om 'n paar goeie donderslae te hoor in die Boland. Dit beteken dit sneeu NOU op ons berge. Reen is minder as wat ek verwag het volgens die voorspellings...
Maar dis nat in die Boland en dit is goed!

I don't know if it was loadshedding or a failure, but we were suddenly plunged into darkness yesterday evening and the genny dutifully (and surprisingly) started without a murmur and presented the house with electrickery, while the neighbours sat in darkness.

Last nigh was not that cold in allot of areas in Gauteng
This morning at 05:20 it was 12c in Roodepoort

And one section where it has been average the coldest around Randburg was down to 10c (Yesterday it was 2 and Monday it was 0)

    Reasonably heavy wind though
Or as the Cape town guys will call it a barely noticeable breeze

The combined dam levels rose from 65% yesterday morning to 69.6% this morning. Not sure when last there was such a big overnight jump?

Theewaterskloof increased from 54.3% to 60.0%. The Berg River Dam is overflowing

We had 58mm for the past 2 days, but the guys in Vyeboom at the Theewaterskloof dam reported between 190 and 220 mm for the past 2 days.
There should be snow around as well.
Important that because the dam level will drastically increase.
