Just seen the video and report, how does that happen? Where exactly are you in Benoni? The Leopard is still very young.

Well some Americans I worked with offshore used to think this is the norm.So why not.

Release below from the SPCA --

DR BULL ASSISTS WITH “STRAY SPOTTED CAT”

Dr Clifford Bull was called by SPCA Benoni, Gauteng, South Africa today to assist with a large cat who had been spotted at 5am this morning on the road in Benoni.

The cat was later found in someone’s garden when terrorizing the owners dog and then domestic worker.

Thankfully they managed to enclose the cat into the laundry area so Dr Bull could assist the cat by means of sedation using his dart gun.

Dr Cliff Bull was able to easily dart the young male leopard thanks to his extensive wildlife knowledge and experience.

Well done Dr Bull and thanks to Benoni SPCA for entrusting Dr Cliff to assist you.

Amazing, thanks for posting and for the video links. Leopards are extremely adaptable and opportunistic.

I see on the News24 article he mentioned it was not as aggressive as they normally would be. Made him think it could have been caged and escaped.

I've read a couple of times that dogs and cats were ripped to shreds in the outlying springs areas and towards secunda .... but that's again moving towards farms etc .... this one being so young, it most probably is a case of a pet gone wrong

I found a big-ass Duiker in the middle of the N1 one morning, in the fast lane. Had to swerve to miss it. In Pretoria, right next to the University's Experimental Farms.

Do all of you think the animals are moving closer for food /water as their habitats are getting invaded on by homing estates going up? Or is this pure coincidence?
