So wie van julle ouens gaan almal die 31ste by Moordkuil/Yellowoods kamp vir die "all wheels open day"?

Koop vandag my nuwe tent so ja.

No electricity, donkey hot water. The campsite is very "bushy" but nice. I would try and speak to Nico and see if you can book a chalet at a good price, they are superb.

    Default Kouga Wilderness

    Hi Southern Capers!

We come down to the Southern Cape every year and then tend seek something off the beaten track while in the vicinity.

One place we have driven past the tun-off in the Langekloof near Joubertina is the Kouga Wildrness (http://wildernis.shadowna.com).

It has chalets, camping and of course 4x4 tracks (graded 3 - "Sukkelpoort").
Have any of you been there?
    Can you recommend it?

We are incidentally staying at Eagle falls for a few days this year (your GTG location this year), and I would like to drive the Paradise 4x4 this year. But I would much prefer company, if anyone else may want to join somewhere between 18 Des and 3 Jan. Let me know.

    Thanks

    Alex

Very nice place. Each chalet has its own private swim hole in the river, and they are very well equipped. Nice area for hiking and mountain biking. I have not done the 4x4 routes yet since I was there with a platkar but will most definitely go back there. Owners, Nico and Melanie Fereirra are nice people and will see to it that you are happy in your stay at Kouga Wildernis.

Magic place and highly recomended. The 4x4 route is most certainly not a grade 3, we opened it. The "sukkelpoort" section is a small section in the river no more than 100m long and really no problem especially with a sfa. Enjoy, wish I was there.
