Any brand that is classified as "technical" clothing - CapeStorm, First Ascent (both Outdoor Warehouse/Sportsmans Warehouse), K-Way (Cape Union Mart). All local brands. Tough and hard-wearing, just don't sit too close to a fire or they'll burn. Wash them and they are dry in 20 minutes in good weather. Just keep a separate set of warm longs for winter wear at night as the tech pants don't do well in cold weather. I used to swear by cotton only, but now only use technical clothing.

Have a look at the Johnson Workware catalogue on line. I've given up buying shirts and jeans anywhere else. Their clothing is well made and comfortable.

I agree. I find their cargo pants very comfortable and useful. Both the long pants and shorts. Very durable, too.

Agreed it is very good but you have to fit all their stuff, I have found that especially on their pants the sizing can be way off between identical sets, 2 size 38's were way different and had to return.

I checked out some Johnson clothing a while ago and noticed they are also moving over to technical material. In fact their Legendary Cargo's are discontinued. Only the normal Cargo,s still available.

The last pair green Senqu's I bought faded within one year.

I find that wearing a nice Borat mankini works wonders for creating some space around my campsite. Really comfortable in the Kgalagadi in summer too.

No the green one is the citronella infused one.
