    Thanks BarnieH, to be honest my stomach is in my chest, I'm almost too scared to walk on it, but it seems as tough as nails..

    Had to put up a barrier on the bottom of the steps to keep Max the staffie out, he packs a ton of inertia and when he starts to lose grip everything goes tits-up..!!

    Yep, I agree, paint first, then the skirtings.. pity, but rather be a little more clever than in a rush..

    Yes, but they adapt very quickly.
    My dogs learnt to go "catfoot" once they are on the wooden floors.
